Tuition and Fee Waivers

AWSOM will waive all tuition and most fees for our first five classes, from Fall 2025 through Fall 2029. This waiver applies to four years of enrollment. We also assist students in finding and determining their eligibility for loans, external grants, and scholarships to support their medical education.

Federal Loans

AWSOM is in the application process to begin participating in federal student aid programs. The review process is ongoing as we continue through the accreditation processes. Currently, AWSOM is not participating in the Direct Loan program or other federal loan programs. Upon approval to participate in Department of Education programs, our students will be able to apply for the Direct Unsubsidized Loan using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In the meantime, should students need to utilize outside funding resources, please review the student private loan information to cover educational expenses.

Private Loans

As a service to our admitted students, AWSOM’s Office of Financial Aid has compiled a list of lending institutions that offer student loans to eligible students. These lenders offer quality customer service, competitive loan products, and cost-saving benefits to student borrowers. We recommend that students carefully choose a lender that offers the best borrowing benefits, including one that is not listed with ELMselect, our transparent, lender-neutral loan servicer.

External Scholarships

The Office of Financial Aid encourages prospective students to explore scholarship opportunities that align with their professional and educational interests. The scholarships and resources listed below are informational only and do not imply that AWSOM endorses the content on their website or their application requirements.
