Minimum Requirements
500 MCAT®
A minimum MCAT® score of 500, taken within four years of the date of matriculation, is required for admission.
PREview®
PREview® Score is highly recommended.
Credit Requirements
A minimum overall GPA of 3.4 is required for admission.
Applicants should complete a minimum of 24 credit hours in Biology-Chemistry-Physics-Math (BCPM) courses, with one of the following BCPM GPA requirements:
Cumulative undergraduate BCPM GPA of 3.4 with at least 24 credit hours in math and sciences OR
Cumulative post baccalaureate BCPM GPA of 3.5 with at least 24 credit hours in math and sciences OR
Cumulative graduate BCPM GPA of 3.5 with at least 24 credit hours in math and sciences
Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) coursework will not be included as part of the required credit hour total.
Additional Requirements
Applicants must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents.
3-5 Letters of Recommendation: If invited for a supplemental application, applicants must submit a minimum of three letters of recommendation to complete their application. Up to five letters of recommendation may be submitted per applicant. Alternatively, one committee letter from a premedical advising office compiling feedback from multiple sources will also fulfill this requirement. All submitted letters must be signed or on letterhead and submitted through AMCAS Letter Service.

AWSOM utilizes a holistic approach in evaluating experiences, personal attributes, and academic preparation in selecting applicants who most strongly align with the School’s mission, vision, and values. Successful applicants will have:
A strong commitment to serving others and the community
Meaningful exposure to and understanding of the medical profession
Team and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to perform well in an academic setting
