Academic Support

Our learning specialists are here to provide academic support regarding every aspect of your medical education. Trained to work with individuals and groups to enhance performance and assessment outcomes, they are well-versed in our curriculum and help students:

• Adapt study skills

• Refine test-taking strategies

• Shape professional behaviors to succeed in medical school

• Academic Counseling: Our learning specialists are available to meet with students individually or in small groups to help prevent, identify, or resolve any academic issue.

• Study Skills Workshops: Learning specialists work with course directors to design and implement workshops to teach essential skills such as time management, active learning techniques, and exam preparation.

• USMLE Preparation: Starting in the first year, resource materials, education modules, practice tests, and facilitated small groups are offered to support the successful completion of Steps 1 and 2 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE).
