Scott D. Hambuchen

Scott Hambuchen, a native of Conway, Arkansas, is a seasoned technology executive with over three decades of leadership experience spanning software engineering, international operations and strategic business development. He earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas in 1991 and began his career at Acxiom Corporation, where he held a variety of technical and leadership positions over his 18-year tenure. His responsibilities included software development, designing industry-specific direct marketing solutions for financial services clients, and leading Acxiom’s European sales and operations from its London office.
In 2009, Scott relocated to Boston to become President of Gryphon Networks, a leading provider of contact governance solutions. There, he led the company’s strategic expansion into business-building contact strategies and omni-channel customer engagement.
In 2012, Scott returned to Arkansas as both an investor and executive at First Orion Corp. He led critical business development initiatives, technical teams and product strategy that propelled the company’s domestic and international growth – including a two-year assignment in Dubai. He was appointed to First Orion’s board in 2024 and currently serves as the company’s CEO.
Scott has extended his leadership and commitment to innovation through board service with the University of Arkansas Alumni Foundation, Computer Science & Computer Engineering Advisory Council, Information Technology Research Center, Intrinsic Ltd, Arvest Bank (Little Rock) and now First Orion Corp. He also supported several non-profit organizations including local food rescue operations and USA Junior Olympic shotgun teams.
Based in Little Rock, Scott and his wife Lorri are proud parents of three married children and grandparents to two – soon to be three. Outside the office, he enjoys researching emerging technology and spending time outdoors.
